Tips on How to Choose a Beginner Drum Set

Type of Music…
If you’re playing jazz or fusion or light acoustical music, a mid-size starter drum set is recommended. For musical genres requiring more volume, a full size drum set is better. Our 5 pc. beginner drum sets can be used with a wide variety of styles are complete with all hardware, three toms, bass drum, snare drum, ride and hi hat cymbals.

Budget…
Beginner drum sets are designed for the hobbyist or serious beginner with a modest budget. Our starter drum kits for ages 9 to adult are $255 to $359. If you’d like a more expensive drum set now but your budget doesn’t allow it, you can upgrade your beginner drum kit in the future with a Wuhan, Zildjian or Sabian student cymbal pack. Drum heads and hardware can also be upgraded.

Transporting And Floor Space…
•If you’ll be transporting your drum set and don’t have enough space in your car, consider a mid-size drum set with smaller drums instead of a full size set.
•If your short on floor space in your home a mid-size set might be a better choice.
