These bongo drums retain the authentic Valje contoured shell, traditional rims and Cuban style steel bottoms that you are accustomed to, but are now available in sonically superior beech wood with satin finish. 7 1/4" and 8 5/8" heads are joined with shorter center block to bring the drums closer to accommodate seated playing. Heads are hand selected and matched to fit each set of bongos, and tuning lugs are 5/16" diameter.
