Specially selected kiln dried and environmentally friendly Siam Oak construction adds to the drum's overall warm tone while the unique 30" high shell contour brings out the drum's mid and high sound ranges. Topped with hand picked natural rawhide heads, these congas feature Comfort Curve® II Rims, 5/16" diameter tuning lugs and reinforced LP Heart® Side Plates, each secured with a backing plate. A layer of fiberglass is added to the inside upper portion of the shell to provide additional strength.
LP Classic Model Congas are available in a variety of wood finishes and 3 sizes, each complete with LP ProCare Integrated Shell Protectors that prevent the side plate hardware from marking or damaging adjacent drums.
LP Classic Model Congas were the first wood congas introduced by LP and have become the standard by which other wood congas are judged. Accessory pouch, tuning wrench and LP Lug Lube included. This is a special order item - ships in 48 hours.
