This Bosphorus New Orleans Crash Cymbal is quick and dry with reduced sustain but plenty of low end harmonics. The 18" size produces a lower fundamental tone than the 16" size. A great choice for the studio.
Evoking the spirit of the Crescent City, the Bosphorus New Orleans Series feels as good on a jazz kit as it does with a contemporary setup. Great also for funk and fusion and some rock applications. Bosphorus New Orleans cymbals are completely hand hammered in the traditional manner, then wide-lathed on top and bottom in a continuous spiral from bell to outer edge.
