When
Vintage Drum Center first began in 1987, it was with a "handful"
of drums and one small classified ad. The hope which inspired us
was that enough drummers would love vintage drums as much as we
did. And in time we found that many thousands did!
Our
president, Ned Ingberman, has years of experience as a professional
musician, drum instructor, appraiser and repair technician. He studied
at Berklee College of Music in Boston and contributes technical
articles to Modern Drummer Magazine.
Ned will personally answer all questions that you have about any
product we sell. He is available 9 am to 5 pm central time, Mon-Fri.
Just call us toll free at 800-729-3111.
Vintage
Drum Center specializes in high quality vintage drums and cymbals.
Every vintage drum we acquire has been carefully inspected and evaluated
for cosmetic, acoustical and structural/functional quality, as well
as for originality (see our extensive quality control checkpoint
system "How To Inspect A Vintage Drum.")
We
grade our drums according to a standardized system that let's you
know what our criteria are (see "Vintage
Drum Grading System"). To keep the grading process objective
we put ourselves in your shoes and grade each item as if we were
the customer. You'll get nothing less than what you expect and we
back it up with our guarantee.
Vintage
gear has been and will continue to be our specialty. We also know
that drummers need more than just vintage gear. That's why we also
bring you a large selection of new products
to enhance your repertoire of drumming gear such as: Remo heads;
Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, Istanbul and Wuhan cymbals; Vic Firth
drum sticks & mallets; oriental gongs; Gibraltar racks, stands
and pedals; drum & hardware cases; drum replacement parts; drum
videos and DVDs; practice pads and much more!
One
more way we are committed to serving you is through our editorial
articles and banners. These are featured on our Web site and in
our Online Vintage Print Catalog. We hope you'll take a few minutes
to read them.
